Reintegration and Access to Health
The current social service system forces users to spend unnecessary time and effort seeking services because referrals are not personalized to these individuals. Indiana 211 is the primary referral source in the state, but lacks an effective mobile platform and often contains inaccurate or incomplete information.
Our interns conducted research to inform the design of the Care Network, a software tool used to connect people to social services. We focused on individuals who are reintegrating into society following incarceration. We conducted interviews to identify the needs, challenges, and barriers that these users face. We created networks describing service users, providers and the relationships between them.
